Domestic violence

Recently my neighbor beat up his wife and the lady passed out was taken to the hospital and saddly she lost her life.
Just wondering, why on Earth would anyone beat up the person he so loved at one time to her death? Is beating a woman part of the male ego?
Yeah I know there are women who beat their men too but stastically more men beat up their wives. What a world?? Thought man and wife were meant to be together and be there for one another but with this rate of abuse am scared there will be no more stable marriages though at the moment divorce cases are rising and who is to blame the man or the woman?
What should be done to curb domestic violence, ok lets say to reduce on its rate? Should people who are planning to get married first make agreements that no violence when they are married or should the ladies just accept it?
What really can be done? Domestic violence is a silent killer not only is it shown through physical beatings but remember it affects its victims emotionally as well.

The population today

Being the world population day, a lot comes in to my mind. Today there are countries whose Governments are asking their country men and women to reproduce so as to keep the population growing and yet other countries are coming up with all possible means to try and control the growth of the population. A country with a big population normally is a proud one because of the so many advantages that can be got from the population,(work force...etc)over Population on the other hand can be dangerous with its effects like encroachment on wet lands, forests which are a threat to the environment.
The question today is how can the men get involved in womens lives so as to attain sustainable development, good reproductive health and gender equality? More focus I believe should be based on gender equality, once we human beings regard each other as being equal then we shall develop. Women are the undermined ones in terms of employment, going to school, marriage and even in religion women are looked at as the inferior sex which is not right at all. Today we should all know that women play a very big role in their involvement with the population, they work so hard as mothers to feed their children, in all they do they dedicate their lives to work hard towards the lives of their children and everyone on this planet has a mother somewhere if you know of any without one let me know, but then for a better sustainable population, let the women not be magnalised in any decision that effect their nations be it work, agriculture, family, school.. the list is endless.

Today, i guess i have woken up wondering where our world is leading us to.I have just read this story and it is so terrifying you cant imagine just because someone feels that he has to get rich one has to sacrifice someones child? it is not fair at all.but why would anyone do this to someones child? is the world going crazy or have we lost some sense of direction that we need guidance? just imagine this very good neigbour kidnaps someones child and takes the child for sacrifice so that he can get rich and know what he does? burries the corpse just behind the childs house and the poor parents after several days of looking for their child discover this. how terrible people are at times-this has left me asking my self whether some people just dont have kind hearts or is this what to expect from some people?

In Uganda, particularly the northern region has gone through a war conflict that has greatly devastated the livelihood of the people living there. The youth are the most affected, one cannot imagine that children are abducted, taken into captivity and forced to become rebels. At the moment education in the nearby villages has come to a halt because every one is scared of going to school. Female teenagers end up having early pregnancies and as aresult there are many child mothers coupled with being infected with various sexually trasmitted diseases not mentioning AIDS.I keep wondering when this will come to an end because it has greatly retarded economic growth in the region and led to an increase in poverty.I believe the help of foreign governments in conjunction with the Ugandan government can help bring about stability in the area and once more the people will have peace.
